Manchester United ‘want £200m’ for Paul Pogba

Just three hours before last night’s clash with Derby County, the story came out via multiple outlets that Pogba had been told by Mourinho that he’d never ever captain United again.
Pogba’s display against Wolves, followed by his pointed comments post-game were something of a final straw for the special one.
It is a relationship that is pretty much untenable and Pogba’s United future looks a little bleak, with the hierarchy at Old Trafford said to be backing Mourinho in this battle.
That means Pogba may get his wish of a move to Barcelona or Juventus, but the events of the last few days seem to have pushed his price up.
Pogba was brought for £89m in 2016 and his deal runs until 2022, so, according to the Mirror, United will ask for more than £200m for the French midfielder.
If Mourinho were to leave the club, that could all change, but Ed Woodward and co are in the Portuguese’s corner currently, which means #Pogback will be relatively short-lived.
An old friend
Comments from former Borussia Dortmund player Kevin Grosskreutz have seen Mario Goetze’s name crop up as a Liverpool target again this week.
Goetze has really struggled over the past few years, with a move to Bayern Munich turning sour and a return to Dortmund not having the desire effect either.
Jurgen Klopp was Goetze’s manager throughout the most successful time of his career and GrossKreutz reckons a reunion would be beneficial for the man who scored the winning goal in the 2014 World Cup.
Klopp, though, kept quiet on the links, but said any talk of there being a ‘transfer saga’ was wide of the mark.
“If I want to talk to Mario I’ll call him.” Simple as that,” the Liverpool boss said.
