The Adamawa State Ministry of Women Affairs was gutted by fire on Tuesday.
Sources say the fire outbreak started at 1:30 pm on Tuesday and engulfed the whole building, located within the state secretariat complex.
Eyewitnesses say officials were left running frantically as they seek to put out the fire.
As at press time, the cause of the fire is yet to known. However, no casualties were recorded.
A source made the disclosure that the Commissioner of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Lami Patrick, was not in the building at the time of the fire outbreak as she had attended a meeting with the state governor’s wife, Hajia Lami Fintri.
