Lawan Heads Defence, Tambuwal Gets Housing, Oshiomhole Chairs Interior As Akpabio Announces 74 Senate Standing Committees

Nigeria Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has announced 74 Senate standing committees and their chairpersons.

According to the list of the Senate Standing Committees released by Akpabio, the immediate past Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has been assigned to chair the committee on Defence while former governors of Sokoto, Edo and Abịa states, Aminu Tambuwal, Adams Oshiomhole and Orji Uzor Kalu head committees on Housing and Urban Development, Interior and Privatisation respectively.

Also, the list has the ‘sex toy lover’ Senator Ishaku Elisha heading Senate Committee on Cooperation and Integration NEPAD while Senator Isa Jibrin heads Senate Committee on Customs Excise and Tariff.

The full list of the committees further shows that Senate Committee on Air Force is chaired by Senator Akwashiki Godiya.
