Cook-a-thon: Youths Storm Ondo to Support Chef Adeola’s  Guinness World Record Attempt

The ancient city of Ile-Oluji in Ondo State has become a beehive of activity as youths all over the South-west communities have been trooping in to give morale support to Adeola Adeyeye, known as Chef Deo.

The Ondo State-born Chef  is currently cooking in an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon (individual).

Adeola’s cook-a-thon began on Friday, June 30, 2023, in the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State and is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, July 6, 2023.

However, Adeola’s 150-hour cook-a-thon if achieved will break Hilda Baci’s record of 93 hours and 11 minutes and also set a new world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

According to report, the place is now a bubbling with the presence of scores of youth storming the venue to show support for Chef Deo.

It was also observed that a band stand has also added colour to the show as the musicians entertain visitors who are lavishly served free food by the Chef. Some of the youths simply expressed confidence that Chef Deo will set a new record after they had thoroughly licked their fingers and consumed Adeola’s sumptuous meals.
