Tragedy hits the entire Ekiti State early Wednesday as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Paul Omotoso, is dead.
The astute politician is reported to have died died in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The state publicity secretary of the party, Mr Segun Dipe, confirmed the death but did not give further details.
It was learnt that Omotoso had not been in top shape since his abduction in July 2023.
He was abducted along with two others at the Agbado Ekiti axis after gunmen shot at the tyre of his car before dragging them into a waiting Hilux van.
He was rescued some days later through the combined effort of the police and other security outfits.
The police announced that they had also arrested three suspects over the incident.
