In Yola, Woman Seeks Divorce Over Too Much Sex
By Ibrahim Abdul’ Aziz
Dissatisfied with the decision of a Yola Upper Area Court to grant his wife’s request for divorce over his alleged obsession for sex, a middle aged man has filed an appeal before Upper Area Court 3, in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.
The wife (name withheld) had earlier sought for the dissolution of her marriage on grounds that each time she had a sex with her husband (name withheld), she must go for treatment in the hospital instantly.
She told the Nasarawa Area Court in Jimeta that her man is stronger than her while having sex, saying that his obsession for prolonged and constant sex is beyond her.
Worst still, according to her, he does not take care of her in terms of feeding and other basic requirements for her upkeep as a wife.
At this point, she sought the intervention of the court to dissolve the marriage which was contracted on the 26th February, 2016; a prayer the Nassarawo Area Court later granted.
But dissatisfied with the decision of the court, and in an effort to sustain his marriage, the husband appealed the judgement at the Sharia Court of Appeal, Yola. And the appellate ourt referred the matter to Upper Area Court 3 for review.
Both the husband and the wife reside at Hayin Gada in Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
At the resumed sitting, the court, presided by Mr. Umar Isa, adjourned hearing into the suit number UAC3Y/CV/Fi/RT/ 248/2019/ until 13th November, 2019.
