NNPC Ltd Debunks Rumour; Says, No Increase in PMS Prices
NNPC Ltd advises Nigerians against panic buying; insists there's enough fuel
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has punctured the viral rumour that it had increased the pump price of premium motor spirit, PMS, or petrol.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the corporation’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye, NNPCL assured Nigerians that there was no imminent increase in the cost of petrol.
Consequently, the NNPC Limited urged Nigerians to disregard the “unfounded rumours”, assuring them that there were no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.
“Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country,” the statement said.
