2023 Elections: Group Predicts Landslide Victory for Tinubu/Shettima in South-west

A socio-cultural group under the aegis of Ikale Heritage Development Association, IHDA, has predicted that the All Progressive Congress, APC, standard bearer for the 2023 presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate Karim Shettima are sure to win in South-west with a record vote.
Addressing the press at the weekend, Chairman of the association, Otunba Sola Olatunji revealed that the Tinubu/Shettima campaign groups have done enough mobilization in the South-west to give the APC more than 75 per cent of total votes in the zone on February 25..
Olatunji says, his group started mobilization in the zone long before Tinubu emerged as the APC candidate at the party’s primary in Abuja.
“From the benefit of hindsight, we saw it long ago that Tinubu would be President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor,” Olatunji said. “My group, the IHDA, began mobilization tours to the traditional rulers and prominent Nigerians in the South-west about two years ago.
“As a political prophet, I was able to read the handwriting on the wall that Tinubu was destined to be Nigeria’s next president. Nearly two years ago, we toured the entire Ikaleland and visited the palaces of our referred royal fathers to market BAT as the next president of Nigeria. This was a period INEC had not even given signal to political parties to start campaigning.
“Although, it was really a form of sensitization about our preferred candidate and I was not surprised that despite heaps of bottlenecks, campaigns of calumny and unfriendly propaganda, Tinubu emerged as the presidential candidate of the APC.
“If you take a critical look at the political space since he emerged as the presidential candidate of APC and when the campaign began, Tinubu is unique both in his manifesto, which I refer to as the Marshal Plans, and relentless campaigns across the length and breadth of the country, it is apparent that the presidential election could only go one way. And that is the Tinubu/Shettima victory.”
The APC stalwart stressed that Tinubu’s brand, the slogan of the party and his preparations for this office, have put him head and shoulders above other candidates adding that the APC is sure of an overwhelming victory all over Nigeria.
“Tinubu remains the best for Nigeria at this critical time of our nationhood in terms of experience, exposure and commitment to a better Nigeria,” he said. “In Tinubu, we have an astute political strategist, an economist and administrator whose contributions to democracy, resonates across the country and beyond. He is committed to changing Nigeria’s narratives and making the country an Eldorado.”
