Gov Fayemi Promotes 4,000 Teachers in Ekiti
The Ekiti State Government has revealed that over 4,000 teachers in the public primary schools have been promoted.
This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Francisca Aladejana, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti, on Monday.
She said the elevation covered outstanding promotions of primary school teachers in the state up to 2019.
According to her, the exercise followed the approval by Governor Kayode Fayemi with the directive that all outstanding promotion exercise must be cleared.
Reiterating the commitment of the present administration to the welfare of workers, Aladejana however, pointed out that the exercise was based on merit, and that both written examinations and oral interviews were conducted to determine the level of competence of the affected teachers.
