A high court in Kaduna State has granted permission to the embattled Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, to travel to India for medical treatment.
The IMN leader has been in detention since 2015 when he was arrested over the clash between his followers and some soldiers in Zaria, Kaduna state.
His followers have gone on rampage in recent time trying to shut down the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, which led to the death of many protesters and police officers.
They were clamouring for the release of the Shiites leader who they claimed has been in terrible health condition in detention.
