At exactly 10.28 a.m., former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima was sworn in as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
He pledged allegiance to the Constitution and promised to discharge the functions of his office faithfully without fear or favour.
