COVID-19: 214 Cases in Nigeria, As NCDC Confirms 5 New cases
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Saturday, recorded five new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.
The centre revealed this in a tweet from its official handle.
“As at 10:10 pm 4th April, there are 214 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty-five have been discharged with two deaths,” the NCDC stated.
According to the body, Bauchi recorded three cases while the Federal Capital Territory had two confirmed cases.
Lagos still remained the state with the highest number of infections with 109 cases while Abuja follows with 43 confirmed cases. The two cities are currently observing a 14-day lockdown as part of measures to contain the spread of the novel virus.
Meanwhile, Osun State follows with 20 cases while there have been nine cases confirmed in Oyo State and seven in Edo State.
Bauchi state confirmed cases has now doubled the number it had prior to Saturday’s announcement.
Akwa Ibom has five cases while Ogun and Kaduna have four cases each.
Enugu and Ekiti States have two each while Rivers, Benue and Ondo States have one case each.
