Dalung applauds Super Eagles’ 3-2 victory over Cameroon
Member of the Federal Government delegation to the Africa Cup of Nations Barrister Solomon Dalung has marveled at Super Eagles’ improvement from their group stage performance at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt .
Barrister Dalung expressed delight in the team’s performance following Nigeria’s 3-2 victory over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon on Saturday at Alexandria.
Nigeria came from behind to equalize and win the knockout game.
The immediate past Minister of Youth and Sports expressed optimism that the Super Eagles will move beyond the quarter finals.
“I congratulate the Super Eagles for their victory over Cameroon,” Dalung said “Their performance today shows that the team will go far in the Africa Cup of Nations and possibly win the trophy which is the prayer of all Nigerians.”
Barrister Dalung praised the players for their hard work, determination and resilience in the knockout match against Cameroon.
He thanked them for making Nigerians proud especially their number one fan, President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The President and father of the nation President Muhammadu Buhari has made available to you all that you need to be successful at this tournament. Nigerians are also praying and rooting for your success.
“We are happy for making us proud today and we wish you success in your next game,” he stated.
