The real problems with this election-Wike
By Olusegun Adeosun
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, this Saturday, expressed worries about the ways election results are collated in the country, though he was generally satisfied with the process.
The governor made this declaration while commenting on the conduct of the gubernatorial and state assembly elections across the state.
“It has been peaceful,” Wike said. “We are hoping that it will continue to be like this. Sometimes, the voting goes on smoothly, but the main thing is at the collation centres.”
The governor, who was accompanied with his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike, voted at Unit 7, Ward 9, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He was, however, confident that he would be re-elected to run the affairs of the state for another four years. Wike stressed that despite the attempts to allegedly manipulate the election in some local government areas, he was sure of victory.
