Ogun Fuel Tanker Explosion: Two Killed, 6 Injured, 17 Vehicles Burnt at Toll Gate
Two people have been confirmed killed in a fuel tanker explosion on Friday at the Toll Gate area of Sango, Ogun State.
The explosion which was said to have occurred at about 12.05 affected at least 17 vehicles and left six persons injured.
Update by the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, made indicated that the corpses of those killed in the incident have been deposited at the mortuary while those injured have been evacuated to the hospital for medical attention.
The situation is said to be already under control as relevant government agencies are still carrying out rescue operations.
Following the development, alternative routes have been announced.
Vehicles inward Lagos have been directed to go through under the bridge at Sango pending when the obstructions will be fully cleared.
Vehicles inward Abeokuta are going through Ilo awela Road to emerge at Sango.
FRSC officials and staff of other relevant agencies are controlling traffic.
