Wale Aboderin, PUNCH Chairman, to be buried Friday

The remains of Mr. Gbadebowale Wayne Aboderin, the late Chairman of Punch newspapers, will be buried on Friday, the Aboderin Family announced on Sunday.

According to the funeral programme, Wale Aboderin, 60, who died on May 30, 2018, following a failed heart surgery at the First Cardiology Consultants, Ikoyi, Lagos, begins his final journey home, on Wednesday, June 13, with a service of song at his residence in Punch Estate, Onipetesi, Mangoro Bus Stop, Ikeja., starting from 4p.m.

This will be followed immediately by a novelty basketball game between the old and new boys of The Dolphins club at the Dolphins Indoor Sports Hall located inside the estate.

On Thursday, June 14, the train moves to the New Haven Events Centre, Oba Akinjobi Street, Ikeja G.R.A where the wake and a musical concert to celebrate the life and times of the deceased will be held. The programme starts 5 p.m.

The lying-in-state holds on Friday, June 15, at 8.00a.m., followed by a funeral service at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church, Oba Akinjobi Street, Ikeja G.R.A. starting from 9 a.m. A private interment follows immediately.
