ABIODUN NEJO

All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has continued to showcase his achievements during his first term in office during the ongoing campaigns for the July 14 election in Ekiti State.
He also assures the electorate that such will be the starting point of delivery of democracy dividends if elected for another term.

Fayemi, who spoke during his campaign tour of Ido/Osi Council area on Thursday, pointed to town halls, rehabilitated schools, roads Projects and rehabilitated palaces among others as visible landmarks of his administration during the first term.

He said: “But the present Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government has nothing to show for their over three and half years, but has instead put Ekiti people in hardship with anti-people policies including education tax and non-payment of salaries”.

The APC candidate urged eligible voters to come out and exercise their civic rights and not to be intimidated by alleged threats to cause mayhem on election day.

He said: “We will ensure adequate security for voters on election day because if you are not well protected, the election will not be free, fair, credible, transparent, genuine and acceptable.”

He encouraged the people to ensure that they vote wisely. He said,
“Go to your units, vote and protect your votes. Election is not done on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp, the votes are at the polling units.
“APC will give a better life to our people, we have done it before and with your support, we will do it again because our legacies are all around the state for everybody to see,” the APC candidate said.
