Bayelsa-born Matthew Seiyefa has been confirmed Acting Director General of the Department of State Security, DSS, following the sack of Malam Lawal Daura by the Presidency on Tuesday.
Following the blockade of the National Assembly by operatives of the DSS and the police on Tuesday, the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, ordered the immediate sack of the erstwhile Director General for “breaching national security.”
Daura was directed to hand over to the most senior officer in DSS, who turns out to be Matthew Seiyefa.
