Like a movie from the Hollywood, another scene on the scandal rocking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was opened on Tuesday by a man who has vowed to ensure that the Glass House is finally cleansed of the smart alecs and the light fingered cabal that have literally run football aground in Nigeria.
According to Jalla, the NFF under Amaju Pinnick continued with their bogus explanation on how the FIFA largesse from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil was spent.
The leader of the Glass House went hysterical in the said retirement list on Item 34 where they claimed that they remitted $100,000 on the 13-2-2015 to JER TRADE through BSI BANK account number 14655888 for same Bolivia International friendly match. On Item (69) $172, 500,00 was remitted to JER TRADE CONSULTING on the 14-8-2015 for an International friendly match against Niger Republic. On the 18-9-2015, $109,845.00 was remitted to JER TRADE CONSULTING under the phrase: International friendlies in Belgium which was claimed as as a part payment
A balance of $40,000 was remitted again to JER TRADE CONSULTING on 29-9-2015.
Items 49, 50, 51 and 53, on the 2-4-2015 saw massive cash withdrawals $200,000, $200,000 and $141,737, 00 – all same day but different withdrawals purportedly for CAF Congress.
Jalla who spoke with The Crest added that it is a known fact that officially, it is only the president and general secretary that attend CAF Congresses for which CAF makes provision for (Board and Lodge), Air tickets, accommodation and pays daily allowances to participants adding that International friendly matches are supposed to be viable ventures,
Friendly matches should be an avenue to rake in funds for the NFF but here it is used to siphon money, says Jalla. “Its revenue generating, the match agent takes charge of match tickets, sponsorship, advert, TV and Broadcast right. All these funds as stated earlier were looted by the Amaju Pinnick-led board.”
