Oby Ezekwesili, former minister of education has announced her intention to step down from the race for the office of president. Ezekwesili who had put herself forward to run for president on the platform of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN said she took the decision to step down following widespread consultation on the way forward for Nigeria.
According to her, she would cooperate with people of like minds to form a coalition against the APC/PDP political machine. She said she was determined to ensure that Nigerians do not miss the current cycle of change. So she said, “We will fight4naija together, and prove to all that the mess that has now become the political class will not be allowed to destroy our spirits and the nation.”
