Ex-IGP Abubakar heads C’ttee to probe suspended Zamfara Emir, end banditry

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar Zamfara has been appointed head of the 9-man committee to probe the suspended Emir of Maru, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ibrahim by the governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Bello Mohammed.

The committee is to also examine the immediate and remote causes of banditry and other crimes across the state and proffer solutions to end the ugly menace in the state.

Inaugurating the committee at the Government House, Gusau, governor Mohammed said the committee was parts of his administration’s desire to get to the root cause of the lingering security challenges that has being  bedeviling the state.
