The Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has congratulated Honourable Minister of State for Labour, Employment and Productivity. Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, on his 50th birthday.
The Governor described Keyamo as an irrepressible human rights activist, consummate lawyer, pro-democracy campaigner, dogged patriot, compassionate philanthropist and advocate of good governance, who deserve to be celebrated for his consistency.
Dr Fayemi said Keyamo has contributed to the enrichment of the nation’s jurisprudence through his brilliant handling of many landmark cases, the same way he has contributed to the deepening of the nation’s democracy through his incisive analyses and presentations as well as his ability to speak truth to power.
He recalled his working relationships with the Senior advocate during the 2015 and 2019 presidential elections and in several other party and national assignments, describing Keyamo as one Nigerian who puts everything into every assignment he is given.
Dr. Fayemi said it was no surprise that Keyamo attained the pinnacle of his legal career in 2017 when he was admitted to the Inner Bar as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
According to him, the celebrant used the instrumentality of the law to fight for the common man, combat military and civilian dictatorship and ensure the reform of the society.
The Governor also noted that Keyamo excelled in his assignment as the Director of Strategic Communications/Chief Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC)/Presidential Campaign Council in the run-up to the 2019 general elections.
Fayemi pointed out that Keyamo exhibited brilliance, erudition, depth and won many Nigerians over with facts in projecting the party and its candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, who recorded a remarkable victory.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ekiti State, I congratulate my dear brother, Festus Keyamo, SAN, on his 50th birthday. You sure have a lot more to offer in terms of service to our nation and humanity. We pray that God grants you many more fruitful years in good health and bliss.”, the Governor said.
