Tinubu’s Suspends 68th Birthday Colloquium over Coronavirus
The 68th birthday anniversary of All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has been postponed according to the Bola Tinubu Colloquium planning committee.
Committee spokesperson Mrs. Foluso Idunu, said the 12th Colloquium, scheduled for March 29, had been shifted till further notice.
She said the decision was taken after consultation with “all relevant stakeholders regarding the health and safety of all our guests.
“Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. Given the nature of the progressive and public spirited ideas and solutions that the Colloquium has become known for, we care disappointed that we are not able to hold this Colloquium on March 29th this year, in honour of a most esteemed statesman, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as has been the custom for the past eleven years. We are however certain that this is the right decision given the prevailing circumstances”
