COVID-19: Emir of Daura’s Discharge From Hospital Excites Buhari

The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, who was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Katsina, Katsina State, last week, and taken into isolation after showing symptoms of COVID-19 has been discharged. from hospital.

The monarch was discharged, Thursday afternoon, and moved straight to his private to his private residence at the Barhim Housing Estate in the Katsina State capital.

The Emir was moved into hospital on May 5, 2020, and taken to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

Alhaji Umar’s discharge excited President Muhammadu Buhari who expressed delight at the news of his recovery and discharge from hospital.

A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, quoted the President as saying:

”I am happy to hear of your heart-touching experiences, successful treatment and discharge from hospital after ten days, a part of which was spent in intensive care.

”Given the times we are in, we were all worried about you during that period. I am very pleased that you came out healthy,” the President said.

Garba Shehu also disclosed that the President also applauded the dedicated and hardworking hospital staff of the Federal Medical Centre Katsina and other frontline medical and health workers, serving various patients in several hospitals across the country.

”The country is fortunate to have such a dedicated medical workforce,” the President said, adding that his administration will continue to take all necessary measures within means to boost their morale.
