Fayemi’s statement comes barely one day after a former Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State House of Assembly and member representing Kagarko Constituency, Nuhu Shadalafiya, tested positive for the virus.

The lawmaker disclosed this in a press statement he personally signed on Tuesday and called for prayers for himself and others at the Isolation Centre, Kaduna.

In the statement, the lawmaker said that his sample and those of his wife, aide, and brother were taken on Friday, July 17 by health officials from Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to him, while his result came out positive on Sunday, July 19, that of his wife, brother, and aide returned negative.
