The Ikale Heritage Development Association, IHDA, has commended Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, on the successful conduct and the landslide victory of the All Progressive Congress, APC, at the Local Government election, last Saturday.
Speaking with journalists in Lagos, Chairman of the socio-cultural group, Otunba Sola Olatunji applauded the governor and the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Lagos State, Tunde Balogun for the peaceful conduct of the election.
Olatunji praised the leadership of Governor Sanwo-Olu which enabled the APC have a clean sweep, winning all the 57 council chairmen; 20 local government and 37 local council development areas, LCDAs and 375 out of the 377 councilors’ slots in the state.
“I must commend Governor Sanwo-Olu for his doggedness and unique leadership that gave the APC almost 100 per cent at the election,” Olatunji said. “The victory, I’m convinced, will hasten the rapid development of the state as both the state and the local government can now speak with one voice on the agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.”
Olatunji added that the victory was a clear testimony to the popularity of the Governor and APC at the grassroots and unhindered dividends of democracy to the people of the state at all levels.
