The road appears to be getting tougher and rougher for a former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr. Olu Agunloye, as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Wednesday, ordered that he be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had arraigned Agunloye over allegations of fraud in the handling of the Mambila Power Project.
The anti-graft agency brought Agunloye before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday and the former Minister pleaded not guilty to the charges read against him.
Consequently, the trial judge ordered that he be remanded in prison pending when bail would be granted.
