24 Days to Go: Owa Haastrup Opens a Flurry of Tributes to Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi at 70
…Praises the Ijesa icon’s personal involvement in fostering unity and physical development across Ijesaland
It is 24 days to the D-Day. And the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, has written a passionate tribute to High Chief Olayinka Fasuyi, a world-class management consultant and the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, on his fast-approaching 70th birthday celebration.
The nine-day celebration begins on Friday, October 17, 2025, with a jumat service at the Ilesa Central Mosque, snowballing into a fiesta on the final day, on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
In his powerful eulogy, Owa Haastrup rejoiced with the Asiwaju of Ijesaland and his delectable wife, Dr. Mrs. Olubisi Fasuyi, the Yeye Asiwaju of Ijesaland, on joining the Platinum Club, the eminent Club of 70, praising the Asiwaju for his enormous contribution and impactful involvement in the development of Ijesaland.
“Dear Asiwaju,” the Owa Obokun Adimula wrote: “I have keenly observed your impeccable track records as a role model. I noted also, with a deep sense of responsibility and gratitude, the dedication and services to Ijesaland by most of the groups and Societies you notably belong to, and I am particularly happy with your personal involvement in the efforts and impacts of these bodies to foster pragmatic measures for physical development in our various communities as well as your involvement in fostering unity of purpose across Ijesaland.”
The paramount ruler also has some passionate words of commendation for Dr. Mrs. Olubisi Fasuyi, the wife of Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, praising her for the maximum support she has been giving to her husband. The support, Owa Haastrup noted, has been a propelling force behind what Asiwaju Fasuyi does and has achieved.
“I want to say that all of your dedication and selfless efforts would not have been possible without the maximum support of your amiable wife,” the Owa said. “I sincerely appreciate her spousal ethos and affection towards you and your entire family.”
The Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland then ended the eulogy with a powerful prayer for the Fasuyis.
“It is my fervent prayer that, God Almighty will continue to order and guide your steps through peace, comfort, happiness and long life.”
