The Ikales in Lagos numbering over two million through their leadership met with the APC Chairman Alhaji Tunde Balogun on a courtesy visit and pledged loyalty and support to its governorship candidate, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The convener, Otunba Sola Olatunji thanked the chairman for the opportunity of the visit and used the occasion to brief him on the contributions of the Ikales to the politics and economy of Lagos State noting that the group has over two million residents in the state who have blazed the trail in various sectors and are willing to support the party in ensuring that all the candidates in various elections in the state win with a landslide margin going by the bulk votes of the Ikales in Lagos
The party chairman Hon Tunde Balogun appreciated the group for the visit and stated that he found the willingness of the group very incredible and noted that the party will not disappoint them and that the efforts will not be in vain.
He welcomed the initiative of the Ikales and appraised their progressive spirit which he traced to the early years of the Western Region when Pa Adekunle Ajasin pioneered regional integration and development in the Region.
In the same vein Otunba Sola Olatunji promised that the group will organise a forum where Ikale indigenes will converge and addressed by the incoming Governor and show the numerical strength of the group to further give credence to the readiness of Ikales in Lagos to ensure victory for the party’s Gubernatorial candidate Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu
