About five hours after being sworn in as Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu hit his official Twitter handle, @Official BAT, to thank Nigerians and splash some photos of the historic occasion.
“This is the proudest day of my life,’ he tweeted. “But this day does not belong to me. It belongs to you, the people of Nigeria.”
He posted the tweet at 4.24 p.m., and at the time of filing this report, it had recorded 1.6 million views, 43,400 likes, 9,867 retweets, 1,287 quotes and 153 bookmarks.
