Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has formally thrown in the towel as he resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor announced this on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The embattled governor was disqualified from contesting the APC primary on June 22 on the grounds of discrepancies in the credential he presented to the screening committee.
He has been criss-crossing the length and breadth of the country after the bombshell and there are strong indications that he may team up with the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
