Lanre Tejuoso Returns, Joins APC Senators’ Solidarity Visit To Buhari

Less than 24 hours after announcing his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Lanre Tejuoso is back to the fold.

The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District stormed the Aso Rock Villa, Wednesday night, as the APC Senate Caucus paid a solidarity visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in the wake of the gale of defections that assailed the party in the past two days.

Forty-two of the 53 APC Senators arrived the Villa at about 10 p.m. for the meeting which lasted one hour, ten minutes.

The arrival of Senator Tejuoso, who, while announcing his defection, Tuesday, said he was not sure of his next destination, party wise, got the visiting senators hailing, to the delight of the President. He reportedly told the President that “Your son is back.”

Shehu Sani, Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District on the platform of APC, also attended. The same with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, National Chairman of the party..Senator Bukola Saraki, President of the Senate, was conspicuously absent.

Speaking to State House Correspondents after the meeting, the Senators said they had come to pledge their continuing loyalty to the President.
