The father of award winning Nigerian novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, is dead.
Professor James Nwoye Adichie, 88, died on Wednesday night in Awka, Anambra State.
He was said to have been admitted at the Chira Memorial Hospital in Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area of the state, for an undisclosed illness.
Until his demise, the octogenerian was a member of International Statistical Institute since 1978 and member, Governing Council of ISI.
He is also the first Nigerian Professor of Statistics.
