Indian Passenger Dies on Board Evacuation Flight from Lagos

A passenger on board an Air India flightfrom Lagos, Nigeria  died under unusual circumstances on Sunday morning.

The 42-year-old passenger on board an Air India flight from Lagos to Mumbai died under unusual circumstances, raising several questions on the checks and thermal screening being conducted at the airports amid the coronavirus pandemic and how a passenger with a fever was allowed to board the flight.

While the Air India has claimed that the passenger died of “natural causes”, the airline is now being questioned on how a passenger with a fever was allowed to board the flight.

Sources have told India Today TV that the passenger was seen shivering inside the flight. When inquired, the passenger had informed the Air India crew that he had malaria. Sources have said that the crew of the flight had also provided him oxygen as he was finding it difficult to breathe.
